Peter W. Sullivan is a graduate from Denison University with a B.S. in Physics in 1984. He joined the Sullivan Insurance Group in 1991 after a successful carrier with a firm in the medical laser and bioinstrumentation field.
Peter is currently Vice President of the Sullivan Group and a Founder of its Clinical Trials Service Industry Group and Co-Founder of its Technology and Emerging Markets Risk Finance Groups. He has over tens years’ risk management experience.
The Technology Group specializes in global insurance and risk management services for the biotechnology, nutraceutical, testing laboratories, medical and high tech, environmental and clinical trial services industries.
The Emerging Markets Risk Finance Group specializes in unique insurance and risk management services for its clients as they go though the different growth phases (Start up, M&A, and IPO) for different corporate governance structure transactions.
Experienced with advisor driven accounts, emerging technology, clinical trial service industry and international risks, Peter’s primary expertise resides in the Global Technology Industry with a special focus on the Clinical Trial Services Industry and the Private Equity Industry. As a broker to a substantial number of countrywide premier emerging technology accounts, Peter is experienced in manuscripting property & liability forms to complement these clients’ unique exposures; is a recognized expert in negotiation and placing both Products Liability, Directors & Officers, M&A and Professional Liability Policies; and has extensive experience underwriting international risks.
Peter has attained the Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) professional designation and is currently pursuing designations for Charted Property Casualty Underwriting and License Insurance Advisor. He has also spoken on global insurance and risk management issues as it relates to the technology and clinical trial service industries at past annual meetings for the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society and is an adjunct professor at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences where he speaks on the same subject matter.
