Lou joined Sullivan Group in 1986 as General Manager and has risen steadily through the company to his current position of Chief Underwriting Officer and Sr. Vice President of Risk Management Services. Lou was central to the establishment of our Risk Management Services Department in 1998.
Graduating from Northeastern University in Boston, Lou began his career at Massachusetts Workers Compensation Rating & Inspection Bureau, where he authored a training manual for the Bureau. He also obtained his broker licenses in Insurance and Real Estate and was later appointed a Notary Public to the Commonwealth.
Lou has held various positions at companies including INA, Swett & Crawford, Falcon Insurance Company (part of Commercial Union), Puritan Excess & Surplus Lines Insurance Company (a GE company) and Integrity Insurance Company and Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company. In 2001, Lou became a member of the Eastern Broker Advisory Council of Affiliated FM Insurance Company and attained the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) professional designation.
