Starting as the William F. Sullivan Insurance Agency in 1957, the firm has grown into one of the largest, regional providers of property/casualty and life insurance, employee benefits and risk management services.
Bill Sullivan started his career as an agent for Aetna Casualty Group and soon joined forces with William Carrick of The Carrick Agency and Robert Green of Green Isenberg & Small. Together the trio developed an all-new concept of doing business; the “Cluster Service” concept. This model allowed each agency to remain independent, but operate as an umbrella of the service company.
Despite a slowing economy in the 1970s, Sullivan continued to flourish, and soon recruited a new breed of insurance entrepreneurs who were given an ownership stake in the business. The new recruits proved successful in attracting property casualty business. In 1991, Green Isenberg Small Insurance Agency and The Carrick Agency were acquired and combined with the William F. Sullivan Agency to form Sullivan Insurance Group.
Today Sullivan Group employs a highly-talented team of over 50 employees (see our staff list), including 18 principal/owners. The firm is immensely proud of its hometown roots in Worcester, and Needham, MA, and is committed to its customers nationally and internationally.
